SBE December Meeting Announcement

The December Meeting of the Society of Barley Engineers homebrew club will be held on Wednesday December 3 @ 6pm at the Stone Brewing World Bistro in Escondido. This meeting will be a special show & tell meeting focused on homebrew gadgets. Inspector Gadget (Lauren) will be moderating the discussion, but the format will be show & tell where we can learn from each other. The group meal will be Mac n’ Beer Cheese.

SBE March Meeting Announcement

The March meeting of the Society of Barley Engineers homebrew club will be held on Wednesday March 5th @6pm at the Stone Brewing Company World Bistro in Escondido. The focus topic of the evening will be the Beer Judge Certification Program which will be led by Paul Sangster, Master Beer Judge and Brewmaster of Rip Current Brewing Company. We are hoping to inspire more SBE members to initiate the process to become a beer judge. The group meal will be Wild Mushrooms over Penne Pasta.

SBE Febrewary (20th Anniversary) Meeting Announcement

The Febrewary meeting of the Society of Barley Engineers will take place on Wednesday, Febrewary 12th @ 6pm, at the Stone Brewing Company World Bistro. At this meeting we will celebrate 20 years of stellar fermentations and will be chronicling the inception and key events that define our club. We will also have alumni and special guests in attendance that will provide testimonies on these events.

We are also proud to announce that we will have stellar 20th Anniversary T-shirts available and the best news is that we will be able to provide one for every full-paid membership for the 2014 year. Additional shirts will be available to members at the low price of $10/each.

Preferably in multiple containers so we can be efficient. If you only have a small amount of beer to share, it would be best to do this either at the beginning of the meeting before the program starts or the end of the meeting after the program has concluded.

This month’s meal is Beer Mac & Cheese with Sausage for a cost of $13 (includes tax and tip)

SBE January Meeting Announcement

Happy New Year Barley Engineers!

Hopefully everyone got the previous e-mails and did not show up at Stone for a meeting on New Year’s day. That brings us to the meeting this week. On January 8th, we will meet at Stone World Bistro at 6:00.

El Presidente will go over the exiting schedule we have laid out for the year. For the main topic, Marc Chilcote will be presenting the English Pale Ale style.

The group meal will be Chicken penne pasta with Tomatoes. $13 covers meal, tax, AND tip.
Please bring cash for the dinner if participating, money for 2014 dues if you are not already up to date, and we hope to see you all there.
