The June meeting of the Society of Barley Engineers will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, June 2nd @ 6:00 pm. We are proud to announce that our featured speaker will be Jamil Zainasheff. Andy Gamelin will be hosting a Bottle Share at the Exchange on Sunday, May 30 th, from 6-8pm, where you can pick up the Heretic beers.

May Meeting – “Ancient Monastic Brewing” w/ Travis Rupp

The May meeting of the Society of Barley Engineers will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, May 5th @ 6:00 pm.  We are excited to announce that our featured presenter will be Travis Rupp.  Formerly with Avery Brewing, Travis has done extensive research on ancient brewing techniques and recipes.  He’ll be taking us on an “Ancient Monastic Brewing” tour (5th thru 9th Century CE).  Watch for the meeting RSVP and Zoom link coming soon to an email near you.

At the SBE Soci-Ale Distancing Homebrew Exchange, we have bottles of Benedictus Ancient Griut Ale, brewed by our very own Alvin Dixon.  Pick up your bottle to share at the meeting, where Travis will be able to tell us about the origins of the recipe and guide us through a tasting.  One bottle per household, please (quantities are limited).
