Society of Barley Engineers

The next meeting of the Society of Barley Engineers will be held at Pure Project in Vista on Wednesday, August 7th @ 6pm. The featured presentation for this month will be SBE member Ryan Reschan on West Coast Pilsners.

Pure Project is located at 1305 Hot Springs Way, Vista, CA 92081

Pure Project does not have a food vendor scheduled at this time, but is working to have one. 

We will be meeting in the Barrel Lounge area where there are around 20 tables and chairs available. If you have a chair that you can bring, we can fill in the empty spaces. Please bring tasting glasses as well as your name badges.

The next meeting of the Society of Barley Engineers will be held at Ryes and Grind on Wednesday, July 3rd @ 6pm 

The featured presentation for this month will be SBE member Louis Teng on Serving Beer.

Ryes and Grind is located at 236 S Coast Hwy, Oceanside, CA 92054

As mentioned in a prior email, part of our agreement with Ryes is that there will be a charge to use the space that our purchase of food and drink will count towards. Ryes will have the bar staffed to serve beer and cocktails as well as to take our food orders. We will be sending out a tap list and menu reminder shortly. With that being said, I would encourage everyone to take advantage of their offerings.

Please bring tasting glasses as well as your name badges. Since this is a restaurant there will be tables and chairs for us to use.

Ryes has some street parking as well as about a dozen spaces in a lot just to the north next to the pickleball courts. There is also parking available in the residential area to the east and the Oceanside Transit Center is a few blocks to the west.

SoCal Brewing Supply is located at 747 Shadowridge Dr, Vista, CA 92083.

Since this is a homebrew shop, there are not any onsite beer or food options. I would encourage everyone to bring extra homebrew to share before the meeting gets started. Also, please bring tasting glasses and chairs (no tables)
