The March meeting of the Society of Barley Engineers will be held on Wednesday, March 7th @ 6pm at Booze Brothers Brewery in Vista.  Our main presentation will be on Dark Beers which will be presented by Sean Bush.

Search through your refrigerators, keezers and closets for that rare, unusual or favorite beer, or get a fresh one at your local brewery or bottle shop to bring.

There’s no specific theme, so all styles are welcome.

We’ll be serving a few hors d’oeuvres but encourage attendees to bring their favorite to share also.

The Febrewary meeting of the Society of Barley Engineers will be held on Wednesday, Febrewary 7th @ 6pm at Booze Brothers Brewery in Vista.  Our main presentation will be on Brewing Experiments which will be presented by our Experiments Officer, Brian Frederick.  We are planning on developing our experiments program this year, so I am excited about kicking this off next week.

Happy Brew Year Engineers! The January meeting of the Society of Barley Engineers will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd @ 6pm at Booze Brothers Brewery in Vista. The topic this month will be our annual light-hearted New Years meeting, this time on Fermentation’s Wacky Siblings by Lyne Noella.

On the agenda:
1) Social time, small pour sharing, and Feedback Corner.
2) Homebrew sharing and discussion.
3) Recaps and announcements.
4) Event updates.

2018 club dues are upon us again, so please bring $30/individual or $40/household. Your dues go to fund cool things like our fancy name badges, our world-class festival bar, and meeting beers. Ultimately it all goes back to you!

Word on the street is that Lyne has a special prize we’re going to raffle off to everyone that RSVPs (and shows) to the meeting–don’t wait to sign up!

Here’s the recipe for the upcoming Lambic club brew day (as written for Andy’s 12 gallon system). You can either cut it directly in half for a 5/6 gallon batch or import the BeerXML via the link below and scale it to your own system. Assumes 70% brewhouse efficiency.
